Shalom Intercessory Prayer Meeting, 01/10/16
Scriptures:
Isaiah 26: 1-6
“In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah;
We have a strong city;
salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2 Open ye the gates,
that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the Lord for ever:
for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
5 for he bringeth down them that dwell on high;
the lofty city, he layeth it low;
he layeth it low, even to the ground;
he bringeth it even to the dust.
6 The foot shall tread it down,
even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy.”
Psalm 41, verses 1-2
“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt deliver him unto the will of his enemies.”
Prayer & Intercession:
The Lord is weeping over the poor, in compassion for them. Remember the 16 million! There are even now in this country, 16 million people who have not even £100 in savings. Many of these are living in desperate poverty, forgotten by almost everyone – living in ghettoes, with no one to help them.
Scriptures:
Isaiah 14:32
What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation?
That the Lord hath founded Zion,
and the poor of his people shall trust in it.
Isaiah 41:17 ff.
When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none,
and their tongue faileth for thirst,
I the Lord will hear them,
I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers in high places,
and fountains in the midst of the valleys:
I will make the wilderness a pool of water,
and the dry land springs of water.
19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar,
the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree;
I will set in the desert the fir tree,
and the pine, and the box tree together:
20 that they may see, and know,
and consider, and understand together,
that the hand of the Lord hath done this,
and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
Isaiah 42: 1-17
Prophecy on the coming Messiah.
Solution to the above Intercession:
Expose the works of darkness! Very important – course on The Other Jesus.
“Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest… for My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”
The Religious Spirit of ‘good works’ v. Moving by the Spirit of God:
NB II Corinthians 10: 3-7
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.”
In the following passages, we see Judas with the religious spirit – NB Jesus’ rhema word spoken into the situation, as opposed to Judas’ logos. Same with the Pharisees, to whom Judas betrayed Jesus just after this incident.
John 12: 1-8
“Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. 3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. 4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, 5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? 6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. 7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.”

Word and Prophecy:
“Seek Me while I may be found.” See Isaiah 55.
“Press thou towards the mark, My children - & see the way where there seems to be no way.
“No deadly thing shall come nigh thee – no poison or arrow of the enemy shall harm thee.
“Be ye strong, & rest in Me & My mighty power. Do not listen to the words of the prince of darkness, whispering, whispering, distracting, destroying. Stay by My side & no other place. For I have prepared a way, a bridge over the gulf which seems impassable.
“Whosoever calleth upon My name shall be saved. This is the highway of light, that shineth in the darkness.
“Walk in the light of My Word, My true Word, & the darkness shall not overcome thee (John 1).
“For I know the end from the beginning & I will lead thee on.
“The path of the just is as a shining light, leading onwards to the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18-19; “Trust & Obey”; Psalm 91, 121; Psalm 119: 105, 114, 129, 130, 136).”

Prophecy:
“There is a way that is perfect, the way of light – I am the way, the truth & the life. The enemy has filled your way with obstacles & stumbling-blocks, but yea & amen are the promises of God in the lives of His saints.
“I am restoring, repairing the breaches.
“I am restoring precious liberty in your lives – the precious things that you thought you would never see again, that you have not even spoken about, but have longed for.
“I see the desires of your heart – I put them there. I am calling you to remembrance to take up the mantle once again & to remember & intercede for the lost world.
“Jehovah Jireh – your provider – will put words in thy mouth & restore the broken threads & cords of fellowship.
“I am restoring world-wide liberty. India shall be saved, saith the Lord. I am pouring waters of life over the dry & thirsty lands. Africa shall be saved. I will unravel the ties of the enemy, the offences of the human heart. The sufferings of the missionaries of old shall once again bear fruit & out of every nation shall souls be saved.”

“And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God. 2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. 3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
5 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened: 6 and the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. 7 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever. 8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.”

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come,
and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth,
and gross darkness the people:
but the Lord shall arise upon thee,
and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,
and kings to the brightness of thy rising.”
Isaiah 58: 5-14
“Is it such a fast that I have chosen?
a day for a man to afflict his soul?
is it to bow down his head as a bulrush,
and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him?
wilt thou call this a fast,
and an acceptable day to the Lord?
6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness,
to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free,
and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry,
and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house?
when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him;
and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

the glory of the Lord shall be thy rereward.

and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones:

and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places:
thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations;
and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach,
The restorer of paths to dwell in.
13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath,
from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight,
the holy of the Lord, honourable;
and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways,
nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
14 then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord;
and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,
and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father:
for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”
Note that the light rising upon us is conditional on our obedience.
Prophecy viewed on YouTube:
This prophecy (given originally about 4 years ago) is very important, talking of end-time Elijahs (John the Baptist) remnant who will emerge from their ‘caves’ where they have been isolated but have learned to glean truths from the Word for themselves, & to move by the Spirit of God. They will resist the Pharaoh system, as Moses did. The end-time plagues in Revelation 15 ff. are shown to be very similar to the plagues of Egypt described in Exodus.

Power versus Influence:

John 9:
The man born blind, healed by Jesus. Jesus moved in power; the Pharisees exerted influence, but without divine power. The blind man recognised Jesus as the Messiah so was thrown out of the synagogue.
Luke 1: 46-55
The Magnificat, where Mary prophesies.
I Samuel 2: 1-10
[Very similar prophecy by Hannah, the mother of Samuel].
“And Hannah prayed, and said,
My heart rejoiceth in the Lord,
mine horn is exalted in the Lord:
my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies;
because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the Lord:
for there is none beside thee:
neither is there any rock like our God.
3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly;
let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:
for the Lord is a God of knowledge,
and by him actions are weighed.
4 The bows of the mighty men are broken,
and they that stumbled are girded with strength.
5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread;
and they that were hungry ceased:
so that the barren hath born seven;
and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
6 The Lord killeth, and maketh alive:
he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
7 The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich:
he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,
and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill,
to set them among princes,
and to make them inherit the throne of glory:
for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s,
and he hath set the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his saints,
and the wicked shall be silent in darkness;
for by strength shall no man prevail.
10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces;
out of heaven shall he thunder upon them:
the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth;
and he shall give strength unto his king,
and exalt the horn of his anointed.”
Word:
“Fear not, My children, though darkness surrounds you. I am the lamp unto thy feet.”
