From  The  Word  of  Almighty God (Antioch   Line)

TENET 1: In one God who exists eternally; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are the one God; consisting of the same substance, co-eternal and co-equal in power and glory. He is self-existing and independent of His creation, Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnipresent, God making man in his image, CHRIST JESUS being the image of the Invisible God

I John 5:7  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Gen. 1:26-28; 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Col. 1:15,16. 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

TENET 2: Christ Jesus’ Deity as a Biblical Reality

i)  Manifest in the Flesh and Justified in the Spirit

I Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

ii)  Equal with the Father

Phil. 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

iii)  All things made “by him”, not “through him”

John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

iv)  Existed from “everlasting” – not “ancient times” as in “new translations”

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

v)  Jesus was worshipped in the New Testament

Matthew 8:2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

vi) The Judgement Seat is of Christ

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

vii)  Jesus had no earthly “father”

Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

viii) Jesus is the “begotten son” – not created or made

John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

ix)  Jesus is “The Son of God” not “a son of the gods” as in “new translations”

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

x)  Jesus is the “Only Lord God”

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

xi)  Christ was raised up

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

TENET 3: The Everlasting Gospel – not “a” or “an” Gospel as in “new translations”

Rev. 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Titus 1:4 To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Acts 14:15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

TENET 4: SALVATION: Redemption is through the BLOOD of THE SON OF GOD, the sinner repenting of inbred sin

Col. 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

I Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

Acts 8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

TENET 5: ETERNAL PUNISHMENT is for the unsaved DAMNED in hell

– not the “grave” or “Sheol” as in “new translations”

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

TENET 6: JESUS IS “THE MORNING STAR” AND “DAY STAR”

– not Lucifer as depicted in “new translations”

Rev. 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

II Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

TENET 7:

THE PENTECOSTAL PIONEERS PASSION for the FOURSQUARE GOSPEL

1)  JESUS THE SAVIOUR, born of a virgin who committed no sin becoming “Sin For Us” II Cor. 5:21

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 3: 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

THIS PROCLAMATION IS OF ONE SAVIOUR, AND ONE SAVIOUR ALONE JESUS.

2) JESUS THE HEALER:

Acts 10:38  How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

The very first COVENANT PROMISE OF GOD

is in the Old Testament:

Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Even under the Law the Priest made atonement for leprosy six times in Leviticus 14 and in Numbers 16: 46-48 Aaron made atonement for plague removal.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Jesus commanded the Church to “lay hands on the sick”!

Mark 16:18 ….. they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

I am not moved by what I see

I am not moved by how I feel

I am moved by what I believe and

I believe

THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD!

Smith Wigglesworth

S.W. What will make men believe the divine promises of God? Beloved, let me say to you today, God wants you to be ministering spirits, and it means to be clothed with another power. And this divine power, you know when it is there, and you know when it goes forth.

Dr. T.J. McCrossan : Satan caused Adam and Eve to sin then Satan is the Author of sin, sickness and death. John 5:14; 10:10

George Jeffreys – Founder of Elim : Bible reveals Satan as a personal devil, opposed to God and the Human Race ....The Israelites understood that deliverance from all bodily ailments was by the power of God, that immunity from disease was a privilege they could enjoy provided they rendered perfect obedience to His will.  Ex. 15:26

In Isa. 53 “griefs and sorrows” relate to sicknesses and pain – the Hebrew words being Choli/Makob

Choli examples : Deut. 7:15; 28:6; I Kings 17:17; II Kings 1:2; 8:8;

II Chron. 16:12; 21:15.

Makob examples : Job 14:22; 33:19

Borne (nasa) means to take away, to lift up, to bear away, to convey, remove to a distance as with the scapegoat Lev. 16:22

Isa 53:1 Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed? 2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

God has loosed the pangs of death

Acts 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

The Hosts of Darkness have been put to nought

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Whom He Justified – He also Glorified – Not Future Tense!

Rom. 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

In Earth – As it is in heaven ……..

Col. 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; 20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Jesus always used the harsh word Epitimao to rebuke devils and used the same word to rebuke sickness.

He talked to a “being” rather than a “thing”.

Luke 4: 35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. 36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. 37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about. 38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. 39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them.

Luke 13: 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. 12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. 14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

Luke 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

Mark 9: 23 And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

This authority HE GAVE TO THE CHURCH; Mark 16; John 14

John 14 Who can do greater works?

John 14:10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

This authority is now even greater through the Sons of God on earth as we now have the completed VICTORY THROUGH CHRIST JESUS!

George Jeffreys, Founder of Elim: : We teach people to seek bodily healing as one of the immediate benefits of Christ's atoning and redeeming work on the cross  ... not the effect of mind over matter - but the power of Christ over disease  Acts 4:7-10

3) JESUS – THE BAPTIZER IN THE HOLY GHOST

Smith Wigglesworth ... Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Beloved, all that I speak this morning is burning in my soul. The baptism of the Spirit has come for nothing less than to eat the whole of my life. It set up Jesus as King, and nothing can stand in His holy presence when He is made King. Everything will wither before Him. I am realizing this.  Smith Wigglesworth.

What an inward burning, what an inward craving God can give! It is a taste of the heavenlies!

Acts 1:5-8.

05  For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. 06  When they therefore were come together, they asked of Him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the Kingdom to Israel? 07 And He said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power. 08  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Wigglesworth's Points.

1.  TO BE CONTINUALLY FULL OF HIS UTTERANCES AND REVELATIONS AND DIVINE PERCEPTION -CONTROLLED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

2.  IS RESURRECTION POWER - NOTHING EARTHLY CAN REMAIN - i.e. DISEASE.

ALIVE TO GOD - Rom. 6:11 by the Spirit.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3.  HOLY GHOST = UNLIMITED SOURCE OF POWER -

NOTHING STATIONARY IN GOD -

INTO LINE WITH THE MIND OF GOD.

SEVEN STEPS TO BEING BAPTIZED IN THE HOLY GHOST!

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come UPON you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

i) Shout and receive!

ii) Be Ready to Receive!

Acts 2:38  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

iii) Laying on of hands

Acts 8: 12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. 14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: 15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: 16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) 17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Acts 5:12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people ( and they were all in one accord in Solomon’s porch. …..)

  • Speaking in other Tongues

Acts 2:4   And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.

Acts 10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

I Cor. 14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. 2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

  • Put aside the foolish teaching that you might receive something counterfeit.

Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

  • Be filled with the Spirit

Eph. 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

PNEUMA akin to PNEO to breathe, blow;

Gal. 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. 30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

  • Those all gathered should Pray in the Spirit

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

4)  JESUS – THE SOON COMING KING

I Thess. 4: 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Titus 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Hebrews 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

TENET 8: HOLINESS

True holiness is manifest through the Believer who recognizes his/her own inability to keep rules knowing that it is one’s own dying to self that is the key to success.

Gal. 2:20; Col. 3; II Cor 7:1; 12:9; Gal. 3:3; Rom. 6 If you are a dead man – then who is left?

ECCBA therefore firmly declares the need for sanctification after justification.

Gal. 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Col. 3: 3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

II Cor 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Gal. 3:3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Rom. 6: 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

John 17:21  Did Jesus pray that we be one in the Father and Son?

Did Jesus have a successful prayer life? This is true holiness.

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

I Cor.6:17; Eph.5:30; Jer. 3:14 Joined unto the Lord – members of his body, flesh and bones! Holiness!

I Cor.6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

Eph.5 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Jer. 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

Rom. 12:1 What do we present holy?

Rom. 12: 1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

I John 4:17 As He is – So Are we ?

I John 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Rom. 8:17; Gal. 4:7 What does being equal mean?

Rom. 8: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

Gal. 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

The name of the Head of the Church is JESUS as is the NAME OF THE BODY

Rom. 11; John 15:7 If we are the branches or the lump – how can we bear a different name?

Rom. 11:16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

John 15: 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Matt. 5:48; 19:21;  II Tim. 3:16,17; Eph. 4:11,12; Phil.2:5; Eph.4:24; Col. 1:27-29; I Peter 1:16; 5:10; Heb. 6:1; 10:14; James 1:4;   Are we called to be perfect?

Matt. 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

19: 21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

II Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Eph. 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

Phil.2: 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Eph.4: 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Col. 1: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

I Peter 1: 16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

5: 10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Heb. 6: 1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

10: 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

James 1: 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

II Peter 1:4; Col. 1:12; Rom. 8:30; Heb. 3:14  Partakers of the divine nature and glorified?

II Peter 1: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Col. 1:12  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

Rom. 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Heb. 3:14  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

John 1:12-14; I Peter 1:23  Born of blood, flesh or of God beholding whose Glory?

John 1: 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I Peter 1: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

I Cor 3:16-23; II Cor 6:16-18 Is the temple of God not holy?

I Cor 3: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. 18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. 20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

II Cor 6: 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

TENET 9: FULL IMMERSION TRINITARIAN BAPTISM

It is true to say in quoting Matthew 28:19 that the terms “Father”, Son, and “Holy Ghost” are not names but titles, and the scripture does say to baptize “IN THE NAME!” This can only relate to one name and this name is JESUS!

Col. 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

(Note “Name” is singular and “Father” “Son” “Holy Ghost” are titles and not names)

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Acts 19:5  When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

The examples of the way the Early Church baptize give further support to baptising this way and it is not good enough as some Trinitarians state that the instruction is to baptize using the Trinitarian formula with the name referring to “in the authority of”. This simply does not make sense, but using the right formula is surely not the essential point. This has to be the individual’s life before God for it is with the heart we believe unto righteousness for the letter killeth and the Spirit gives life!

Rom. 10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

II Cor. 3: 6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Romans 6:3 declares that those who were baptized were baptized into the death of the Lord Jesus. This surely places the onus on the individual’s heart rather than on the person doing the baptizing! Has there been a realisation that this baptism was a baptism into death? This is the most important point for it is with the heart that we believe unto righteousness.

This is where one of the Evangelical doctrines supported by James A. Fowler comes in because there has to be the Christological oneness of Christ Jesus and humanity taking part in this process, a process that goes further with the one being baptized being joined as one spirit with Jesus.

Romans 6: 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Jer. 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:

I Cor. 6: 15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The conclusion coming out of this, therefore, is that surely it is a matter between the individual and God, God seeing the heart, the individual being baptized by the heart into the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the individual confessing the name JESUS.

Whether Father, Son and Holy Ghost are expressions or persons of the Godhead is not the essential question here for JESUS is the fullness of the Godhead. JESUS is in the central position here and it is his NAME being referred to in Matthew 28.

His name, however, is not to be used as a statement of legal formula but rather a heart felt cry from the heart. Within this context, therefore, the ECCBA supports baptizing IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST – that is INTO THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST – HIS DEATH – AND HIS RESURRECTION.

TENET 10: The “Every Creature Commission”

The ECCBA fully endorses the position taken by Rees Howells in 1934. This relates to the heart of God which is to reach every creature with the Gospel, the responsibility for this being through Christ’s body on earth.

Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

The ECCBA will emphasize missions ministry.

This will involve worldwide prayer warfare to bring the conditions for a great harvest all over the World. Full commitment towards this call of God is required to fulfil our Lord’s command and the Bible College Wales exists to "perfect saints for the work of the ministry."

As it was in the days of Joshua so the ECCBA looks to take the promised land for the Lord, our nation Britain having been taken over by Gnostic forces, but we gather around these walls going through a process of personal sanctification and personal expectation by lifting up the genuine WORD OF GOD high, and crossing the Jordan to realise our vision

Joshua 3:1 And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there before they passed over. 2 And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; 3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore. 5 And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow the LORD will do wonders among you. 6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. 7 And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee. 8 And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan. 9 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, Come hither, and hear the words of the LORD your God. 10 And Joshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living God is among you, and that he will without fail drive out from before you the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Hivites, and the Perizzites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Jebusites. 11 Behold, the ark of the covenant of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan. 12 Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Israel, out of every tribe a man. 13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. 14 And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; 15 And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) 16 That the waters which came down from above stood and rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, even the salt sea, failed, and were cut off: and the people passed over right against Jericho. 17 And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan.

TENET 11: The Just shall live BY HIS FAITH!

Hab. 2: 1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. 4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

It is not with our faith that we move, but HIS FAITH. This a powerful statement and the ECCBA will emphasize the personal “dying to self” so as to be an empty vessel for HIS FAITH to operate through us!

TENET 12: The Lord’s Supper and the Bringing of Tithes

are the essential parts of the covenant meal

Melchizedek brought forth bread and wine: Gen. 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Jesus did the same:

I Cor. 11: 23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

Jesus – High Priest forever after the order of Melchizedek

Hebrews 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Hebrews 7: 1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Ye are “Abraham’s” seed and like Abraham we bring forth tithes to the Table of the Lord –

we give and HE GAVE - a covenant meal

Gal. 3: 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise

TENET 13: The Ephesians 4:11 to 13 Operation of the Five Fold Ministry – special emphasis being given to “perfecting” the Saints from than “equipping” as in NKJV.

Eph. 4: 11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

TENET 14:  The Divine Inspiration and Authority of the Holy Scriptures coming along the Antioch line only rather than the Gnostic influenced “scriptures” of Alexandria.

II Tim. 3: 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Acts 18: 24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus. 25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John. 26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
