11 07 22 SCOTS KIRK OPENAIR outside KIRKINNER PARISH CHURCH THAT WAS!

Openair outside Kirkinner Parish Church where until recently lived Rev Jeffrey Mead, reportedly being well liked in the community, yet it would seem spirits holding back church attendance.

The building was built in 1828 and is surrounded by graves and a broken down mausoleum.

The Kirk is the Parish Church of St Kennera, the site having an ancient ecclesiastical history but why should it be empty in this period of time despite of a popular minister? Inside the Kirk is reportedly a 4 foot high cross dating from the 10th century.

It was if we had hit a particular stronghold here in the spirit, the openair meeting being in traditional Church of Scotland mode in honour of what the Kirk in general once was, rather than the Edinburgh seat of liberalism and textual criticism it has become today.

The village called "Kirkinner" therefore has no kirk - hence its re-name in the spirit of "noKirkinner"!

It is time to restore the Church of Scotland back to the Knoxian and Covenanter vision it once had!
